Terms of Use
Read in: Português (Brasil) · Español
These terms apply to anyone who uses Meu Tatame — www.meutatame.com.br and app.meutatame.com.br — with or without an account. By using the site or creating an account, you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.
What Meu Tatame is
A free map and directory of martial-arts and combat-sports gyms in Brazil, run by AECOder. Gyms publish their own information; people find gyms, classes and instructors and organise their own training.
What we do not do
- We do not mediate contact, enrolment, booking or payment between you and a gym. The WhatsApp, phone, Instagram and website links take you outside Meu Tatame; from there, the relationship is between you and the gym.
- We do not sell plans, classes or products. Prices shown are provided by the gym and may be out of date.
- We do not guarantee that a gym exists, is open or teaches what it advertises. Check with the gym before going.
- We do not show ads.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old. Give your real date of birth; it is asked once and cannot be changed.
- The account is personal. Keep your password secret and end, in Settings, any session you do not recognise.
- You can delete your account whenever you want, in Settings. Deletion is confirmed by email and is permanent.
- The same account can be a practitioner's and a gym manager's at the same time.
Community rules
By using Meu Tatame, you agree not to:
- publish false information about a gym, or claim a gym you do not manage;
- publish offensive, discriminatory or illegal content, or content that violates other people's rights;
- file false or bad-faith reports (Denúncias);
- copy the directory in bulk or use the site to send spam;
- try to get around the age rule, access other people's accounts or disrupt the site.
We may hide or delete content, hide a gym, revoke a claim (Reivindicação), or block or close an account that breaks these rules. A blocked account cannot sign in; to learn why or to ask for your data, write to contato@meutatame.com.br. We notify you by email when possible.
If you manage a gym
- When you claim a gym, you declare that you are authorised to manage that gym's information. The claim is accepted immediately, but a curator may revoke it or settle disputes.
- You are responsible for what you publish: address, disciplines, classes, instructors, plans, photos, captions and contacts. Only upload photos you have the right to use. Only publish instructors' data and photos with their permission, and photos in which other people can be recognised with their permission.
- Photos showing people under 18 require their parents' or guardians' permission and must respect the child's or teenager's best interest: nothing that exposes or embarrasses them, and never their name, school or other identifying details in the caption.
- If an instructor, a person in a photo or a minor's parent or guardian asks for removal, take the content down and do not publish it again without new permission. Meu Tatame may also take it down as soon as it receives the request, before hearing from you. After a confirmed report, the photo or instructor comes down at once and is deleted within 1 to 2 days, unless the curators restore it; you get a notice, without the name of who asked. If you have the authorisation and think it is a mistake, write to contato@meutatame.com.br.
- You authorise Meu Tatame to display that content on the site, in the app and in search results for as long as it is published, even if you stop managing the gym or delete your account.
- A gym is published automatically once it has a name, a located address and at least one discipline. A curator may hide it.
Listings created by us
Curators may create gyms from public sources, such as the gym's own website or social media and federation and event listings — never Google. We keep the link to each source. An unclaimed listing shows basic data and invites the person in charge to claim it. If you represent a gym, you can claim it and correct the data, or write to contato@meutatame.com.br to ask for the listing to be corrected or removed.
Curators
Curators are people authorised by AECOder to look after Meu Tatame. They can see, edit, hide or delete any gym; decide claims and reports; restore or delete reported content; create and import gyms; and block accounts that abuse the site. When searching accounts, a curator sees only the name and email. Every curator action is logged; in a gym's history, its managers see "Curadoria do Meu Tatame". Curators join by invitation, must be 18 or older, accept the Curadoria's confidentiality commitment themselves, and each new version of it, and must use two-step verification.
Administration
The Meu Tatame administrator is the person at AECOder responsible for the platform. They can do everything a curator can and also: see an account's data when needed for support, security or requests about data; correct an account's name; end its sessions, block or delete an account, with immediate effect; invite curators (a person becomes a curator only after accepting the confidentiality commitment themselves), remove them and reset the two-step verification of a curator who lost access; and send service notices. They never see passwords or codes and never sign in as anyone else. When they delete an account, the person gets an email saying so. When you ask for deletion at contato@, it is done after we confirm the request came from the account's email. The administrator never accepts anything on someone else's behalf. Every administrator action is logged.
Reports
Anyone can file a report (Denúncia) about a gym with wrong, abusive or fraudulent information, or that uses someone's image or data without permission; you can also ask at contato@meutatame.com.br. A curator reviews it and decides. A report about a photo or an instructor is confirmed with a code sent to your email; once confirmed, the content comes down at once while we review it. Requests to contato@ about the image of someone under 18 also take the content down at once. False or bad-faith reports may lead to the email being blocked from new reports and to the account being blocked or closed.
Content and brand
The code, the design and the Meu Tatame brand belong to AECOder. Gym information belongs to whoever published it. Maps use OpenStreetMap data and OpenFreeMap tiles, under their licences.
Availability and liability
Meu Tatame is offered free of charge, "as is". We do our best to keep it up and accurate, but we do not guarantee continuous availability or the absence of errors, and we are not liable for losses caused by information published by gyms or by decisions taken based on it. Nothing here reduces the rights Brazilian law guarantees you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When the change is relevant, we update the date at the top and notify account holders by email. Continuing to use the site after that means accepting the new version.
Law and jurisdiction
Brazilian law applies. The courts of the district (comarca) of Belo Horizonte – MG are chosen, except where the law guarantees you another venue.
